KARE has historically provided various transport solutions for the people we support in our services. The people we support have identified during our Organisations Strategic Plan Development that there are times they can’t do the things they like to do as there is no Transport options available (KARE Transport or other means of Transport). As a result this has been specifically called out in our Strategic Plan under “STRATEGIC PRIORITY 1 - Further Develop Individualised Supports to Meet the needs of the People we support as Effectively as Possible”. KARE’s transport solutions includes its internal fleet and also external options for Service Users such as Families, Public transport, Staff Cars, Contract Transport etc) 

A Project Team has been established and the key ives of our Project are to:

1. Establish a review group to explore innovative means for improving transport options for the people we support. 

2. Develop a strategy for the options with the highest potential.

What Success looks like:

1. There is a greater range of transport options available, internal and external. 

2. The people we support report improved satisfaction in being able to get to where they want to go

In order to assist the Project team KARE are seeking professional support to ensure the project is successful. There are two Key phases to the support we require with Phase 1 being sought initially and Phase 2 following later in the project cycle.
