Forest Road Construction & Maintenance Services provides end-to-end project management, heavy equipment and on-site supervision to perform roadworks, working pad construction and culvert and bridge work to access remote BC Hydro circuits.

BC Hydro intends to pre-qualify suppliers to provide Construction and Maintenance Services on Forest Roads as needed across British Columbia for each of the four (4) Service Regions: Lower Mainland, Northern Interior, Southern Interior, and Vancouver Island. BC Hydro anticipates qualifying a pool of approximately 30 to 35 Preferred Respondents which it intends to negotiate MSAs with. BC Hydro will determine in its discretion that its list of Qualified Suppliers does not ensure appropriate capability, capacity and coverage in one or more Service Region to meet BC Hydro's planned and unplanned service requirements it may issue one or more qualification processes in substantially the same form as this RFSQ. Any suppliers qualified through such qualification processes will be eligible to enter into an MSA for the remainder of the 3 year initial MSA Term. BC Hydro, in its discretion, anticipates re-issuing this qualification process to the market.

The Contract is expected to be for an initial term of 3 years, which may be extended for up to 5 years through one or more contract extensions, for a potential total term of 8 years.

This procurement may involve negotiation.

This opportunity is subject to Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement.
