Information for Proponents
The Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District, hereinafter referred to as the
"Corporation", invites Proposals for the Geotechnical Exploration Services for the Iona Island
Wastewater Treatment Plant Projects.
SCOPE The scope of this RFP is for geotechnical investigation and drilling services. The scope
of work will be separated into three phases and provisional items:
1. Phase 1: Land d geotechnical exploration conducted in the vicinity of the Existing Plant, Existing Biosolids Area, Intertidal Zone 1, and Causeway (herein referred to as "Land");
2. Phase 2: Marine d geotechnical exploration conducted in the Fraser River North Arm and
McDonald Slough areas (herein referred to as "Marine"), as well as Intertidal Zone 2;
3. Phase 3: Land d geotechnical exploration conducted in the Iona Island North area (herein
also referred as "Land")
4. Provisional work d on unit rates.
Proposals will only be considered from those Respondents advanced following Request for
Qualification RFQ No. 21-145 - Geotechnical Investigation Services for the Iona Island Wastewater Treatment Projects. The three (3) pre-qualified consultants (the "Proponents") are (in alphabetical order):
- ConeTec Investigations Ltd.
- Foundex Explorations Ltd.
- Geotech Drilling Service Ltd
Request for Proposal (RFP) documents may be downloaded directly from the Metro Vancouver
website at https://metrovancouver.bidsandtenders.ca (the "Bidding System").
ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS ONLY, shall be received by the Bidding System. Hardcopy submissions
are not permitted. Proposals will be received by the Bidding System no later than 2:00:00 p.m. local time on the 19th day of January, 2022 (the "Proposal Closing").
Questions related to this RFP are to be submitted to the Buyer of Record through the Bidding
System only by clicking on the "Submit a Question" button for this specific bid opportunity.

All persons in attendance must bring their own personal protection equipment (i.e., steel toe footwear, safety eye glasses, hard hat, high visibility vest, etc.).
