⑷ Basic requirements of the procurement :

A The new computer system should widely support both the education and the academic research via the existing Mie University campus information network or private line(including internet VPN).

B To support various effective educational activities, the system should have suitable computers and peripheral equipment with sufficient facilities and capability. Simultaneous access of many persons should be acceptable to the system. The system should have various utilities and applications suitable for the education of Mie University.

C The system should be provides basic network services and has various servers for that purpose.

D The system configuration must be optimized with respect to space efficiency, energy saving, and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership). The system should be manageable for users and be maintainable with little effort. To minimize the load of operation, the system should have special functions by which the total system can be administrated.

E The system should be configured with respect for security. The system should be supported by the preventive maintenance for security.

F The system should be as verbose as possible and designed to ensure that operations are not disrupted.

G The system should be installed in the cloud or in a data center, or designed to accommodate the migration to them.
