1. this rfq is open to all interested vendors. 2. the city of calgary (the city) is seeking quotes from authorized resellers of check point software technologies products, services, maintenance and support. purchases will be as needed, to replace, expand or enhance check point software technologies products, services, maintenance and support. it will also allow the city to increase licenses, software versioning, tools or features of products and to purchase support and training services provided by check point software technologies. 3. this procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. it will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations. 4. it is the city’s intention to enter into an agreement with only one (1) legal entity. the term of the agreement is to be for a period of three (3) years, with an option in favour of the city to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for an additional term of up to two (2) additional three (3) year terms not to exceed nine (9) years. it is anticipated that the agreement will be executed within 30 days from the date of notification of the selected respondent.
