range road 6-0 (beaver flat road) is a local county road northeast of the town of rocky mountain house. beaver flat road is approximately 13.15 kms and stretches between highway 12 to the south and township road 41-2 to the north. in 2019 the first section was rebuilt from highway 12 to km 4.6. this rfp is for the remaining approximate 8.55 km of range road 6-0 that requires re-grading work. recent traffic counts indicate this road has approximately 150 vehicles/per day traveling it. this re-grading work is in preparation for a future /pave of this road, which will be handled in a separate contract. along range road 6-0 are numerous land users: farmland, acreage owners, and oil industry. the following work has been completed on this project recently and this information will be given to the successful proponent after award of the contract, for use at their discretion: • fish habitat assessment report – assess watercourses present, potential impacts, and possible mitigation measures. • water act approval – for wetland compensation • preliminary engineering: o preliminary topographical survey. o soil logs. o utility locates and hydrovacing of utility location and depth. • clearwater county master crossing agreements for utilities on this project. the ives of this project are as follows: • design the roadway to a design speed of 90 km/h. • design the roadway to allow for a future /pave to an 8.3m finished top (schedule “a” – collector road paved standard cross-section). the anticipated /pave structure will be 125mm acp and 300mm gbc. • construction completion prior to october 15, 2023.
