The Township of Esquimalt (Corporation of the Township of Esquimalt) is inviting qualified engineering consultants to submit proposals to provide design, tendering, and contract administration services for the following underground utility projects in Esquimalt:

- Saxe Point Park Sewer Force Main

- New Combined Sewer and Drain Main for 393 Fraser Street

- Lampson Street Storm Main Replacement

The Township has aging infrastructure throughout the Township that needs rehabilitation. Utility projects are identified through camera inspections and prioritized d on condition and use. In 2021, Public Works crews have completed repairs on multiple sewer and storm drains throughout the Township using traditional open trench repair methods. Two of the remaining projects for 2021 are in challenging locations that require trenchless technologies to be used to minimize surface disruptions. In addition, a new sewer force main at Saxe Point Park is required to replace an aging septic field. The force main requires trenchless technologies to avoid disruption to the park.The Township has minimal experience with trenchless technologies and requires a consultant to complete the design for the following projects d on a preliminary design completed by the Township:
