germany-bochum: engineering design services for mechanical and electrical installations for buildings./ new construction of geriatrics at the augusta clinic in bochum - specialist planning services for technical equipment alg 4-6./ the augusta-kranken-anstalt in bochum-mitte is planning a three-story new building for a geriatric ward with 70 beds on its own property on bergstrasse. the property to be built on is located on the north-eastern edge of the entire complex, adjacent to zeppelinstrasse. the property is well developed; all supply and disposal media are available on the site. there is a sufficient number of parking spaces spread over the entire area. geriatrics is to be relocated from the bochum-linden branch to the bochum-mitte branch. with the relocation and thus the connection of geriatrics to the central medical departments and functional areas in bochum-mitte, the project fulfills the funding priority "strengthening patient-oriented care in old age (elderly medicine)" in the sense of close-to-home and needs-d care. the project is therefore supported with funds from the state program. in order to enable optimal use of the new building in the context of the overall complex, an underground connection to one of the neighboring buildings is to be created.
