germany-ahlen: road construction works./ osttangente ahlen 1st construction phase./ the town of ahlen is particularly affected by the restructuring of mining. the structural change in the area associated with the closure of the "bergwerk westfalen schacht 1/2" colliery site and the urban reorganization of the area in the south-east of ahlen with the conversion of the old colliery site into a landscape and industrial park and the expansion of existing commercial areas require, among other things, an improved and adapted transport infrastructure. for this is u. a. the new construction of the osttangente is planned, which is divided into several construction phases. the construction of a bypass road is planned as part of the urban planning of the city of ahlen. the so-called osttangente is divided into a total of three construction phases. the route stretches from the k 27 "guissener straße" on the southern city limits to the b 58 "beckumer straße" in the east. the planned bypass crosses the werse in the southern part of the project. the 1st construction phase, which includes the construction of the road structure and the noise protection wall, is now being tendered. most of the soil required for this is stored on the former colliery site and on areas in the olfetal commercial area in ahlen.
