Portsmouth City Council (the Council) on behalf of Solent Transport is establishing a multi supplier work for the provision of shared e-scooter hire schemes. Solent Transport are working with the Department for Transport (DFT) to deliver 3 pilot schemes within Hampshire. The first pilot scheme to launch will be within Portsmouth and is expected to launch in October 2020 and run for up to a year.

The invitation and subsequent evaluation of tenders for the Portsmouth pilot scheme will be used to establish the agreement which will be in place for a duration of 4 years extendable by a further 4 years, it is envisaged that 4-6 suppliers will be appointed. The agreement will be accessible to all local authorities, educational bodies and NHS trusts within the counties of Hampshire, West Sussex, Surrey and the Isle of Wight.

The procurement process will be conducted in accordance with the open procedure, the closing date for tender submissions set as 28 August 2020 14.00.
