Compromised Swallowing Training – Hospitality Sector & Carers.

The focus of this project is on the expansion of the social experiences that people with compromised swallow through the training of the hospitality sector in the preparation of a wider set/more inclusive set of food experiences. The project aims to create a larger set of food/social offerings for people with compromised swallow and to bring new customers to local eateries/bars/attractions.

Programme Structure
•    Participants taken from hospitality and care sector
•    1 x session per participant
•    12 x days x 6 people per day x 2 chefs.
•    Theoretical & practical kitchen d in puts
•    Located in TSoF – appropriate training setting

Anticipated Outcomes:
•    72 people complete training programme
•    Expanded food offering for people with comprised swallow in Co Kilkenny/region.
•    Connection built between carers and businesses in county – expanded customer for local businesses.
