Upgrading of the visitor approach to Browneshill Dolmen, Hackettstown, Hackettstown Rd, Carlow and improvements to the overall presentation of the site. Removal of inappropriate existing macadam pathway and replace with wider pathway of Ballylusk or similar, self compacting gravel surface. Replacement of defective fencing and planting of bareroot hawthorn hedging improving the visual impact of fencing around the monument.
Area beneath the dolmen gets flooded - it is proposed to construct a land drain and soak pit to divert the water away from the monument.
