⑷ Basic requirements for provision

A This system is a core system possessing functionality that is equivalent to, or greater than, that of the educational affairs management system (covering register management, curriculum formation, course registration management, grade management, issuance of certificates, and awarding of promotion, graduation and qualifications, etc.) currently installed at Ibaraki University. Furthermore, it is a flexible system that can take on expanded functionality going forwards. This system will provide all-encompassing support for the approximately 12,500 students and faculty members of the system user, Ibaraki University. It can be used 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (excluding downtime for maintenance).

B The new system can fully inherit and use data from the current system. If, when migrating data, there is data that requires a change in coding or which needs to be created anew, the vendor will carry out these processes together with appropriate data migration and verification work, ensuring that there are no omissions.

C Data can be ed seamlessly between the new system and Ibaraki University's other existing systems, including the unified authentication system, study support system and other systems to be developed in the future.

D It is a system that can be used through Ibaraki University's information network as well as off-site information networks, with sufficient processing capacity for 2,000 people to be connected simultaneously.

E This system authenticates individual students and faculty members by means of Ibaraki University's user authentication infrastructure before providing services corresponding to the attributes of individual users, and can restrict use when necessary.

F This system is maintained with advanced security measures to facilitate secure use from outside Ibaraki University as well as inside. Also, an adequate maintenance and support system is provided in order to ensure that the system always runs satisfactorily, to prevent system malfunctions, and to react within 24 hours after receiving contact from Ibaraki University or after an alert in case a problem occurs.

G This is a highly advanced system that conforms to the technological trends of recent years and possesses architecture d on the latest technology.
