B The system must entirely correspond with NACSIS-CAT/ILL which National Institute of Informatics provides. After the system is introduced, the contractor must be required to modify the system swiftly to deal with any extensions or modifications of the NACSIS-CAT/ILL system.

C The system must be highly reliable, stable and operational at high-speed, and it must be possible to use load balancer so as to keep stable operation even under high load.

D The system must be possible to be used by operators and library users through web-d GUI interfaces of any PCs.

E The system must be possible to be accessed and controlled in each of over 40 libraries and 4 administration offices. Furthermore, the system must be possible to manage the access authorities in every operator group.

F This system must be possible to deal with multilingual resources and to be compatible with UTF-8 encoding.

G The system must be able to connect with Kyoto University Integrated information Network System (KUINS).

H At the discovery service system of the library portal system, it must be able to search our online catalog (OPAC). Furthermore, it must be able to make an integrated search of bibliographic information of books, journals, and articles held in Kyoto University as well as other universities/institutions, the digital archive system, the institutional repository and commercial bibliographic datas.

I The system should take measures for preservation of data, information security, and protection of personal information of users.

J All the data stored in the existing library system should be migrated to the new system.

K The system should be able to cooperate with the university's financial accounting system, the integrated authentication system and the other systems which Kyoto University specifies.

L The contractor must provide the library staff and the system administrators with appropriate education and training.
