Newcastle City Council has a requirement for an Electronic Personal Education Plan solution that is fit for purpose, efficient and multi-functional providing the ability to record and report a range of information relating to education. Newcastle City Council (NCC) has established a project to procure an electronic personal education plan (e-PEP) system which will be accessible by all stakeholders, i.e. Virtual School staff, social workers, designated teachers, parents/carers and children. The PEP will enable the Virtual school to collect information needed to promote the educational outcome of each child who is on the Virtual School roll. This will include detail on attainment, progress, attendance, engagement with learning, behaviour, broader child development, the child’s views and long term aspirations. Additionally, the PEP will set out short term SMART targets, actions for professionals and clearly describe how Pupil Premium Plus can be deployed to support targets and pupil aspirations. An electronic system would streamline the process of PEP completion and review by giving access to all stakeholders and would allow all information to be stored in one place.
