Loxley House Nottingham Nottinghamshire NG2 3NG United KingdomThe Partners (Nottingham City Council and Leicestershire County Council) created ‘East Midlands Shared Services’ (EMSS) to deliver back office services in 2011 and invested in Oracle e-business suite (EBS) as the enabling technology platform for both EMSS and the Partner’s retained corporate functions. The Partners make use of a wholly owned shared service centre, the EMSS, which provides Finance, Procurement, HR and payroll services. EMSS currently utilises Oracle E-Business Suite for its ERP and HCM business services. This will continue to be supported by the existing EMSS team until such time it is fully decommissioned, as we are in process of replacing it with Oracle Fusion and Oracle PaaS middleware. This soft market testing for a ‘Managed Service Provider’ to support the new Oracle Fusion and Oracle PaaS middleware platform provides us with the opportunity to explore the type of managed service provider support available on the market.
