Kelly’s Butchers is a well-established artisan butcher’s shop in Newport, Co. Mayo specialising in traditional black and white puddings and sausages under the Kelly’s brand. We are known as innovators and constantly develop new products, d on our existing range. Kelly’s motto is “We manufacture up to a standard, not down to a price” and we hold fast to that in everything we do.

The shop was founded by Seán Kelly’s father, Dominick Kelly and his brother Michael, in the 1930’s. Since 1982 it has been run by brothers Seán and Seamus and now Seán’s two sons, Kenneth and Cormac. Seán’s daughter Shauna manages Kelly’s Kitchen next door to the butcher’s shop. We also have an abattoir, making us a true full-service artisan butchers.

In October 2020 we celebrated 90 years in business with a month-long celebration in the shop, online and through the media. 

Originally, we sold only in our own shop, but actively developed a trade first in Mayo and then around the country. In recent years we have completely rebranded and have developed a full range of puddings and speciality sausages which have a strong and attractive shelf presence. This made us more attractive to the multiples. We have refrigerated vans on the road and also sell through distributors, who in turn sell to hotels, restaurants and food outlets throughout Ireland. We are now seeking tenders for the supply and installation of a software factory solution including hardware that will manage our entire business.  Purchasing and Sales Software -  Create and manage sales orders, purchase orders, deliveries, track your inventory, manage pricelists and integrate to intuitive factory floor operator work-stations. Food Traceability (HACCP) and Production Software -  Helping us to keep track of the raw materials required to make products, ensuring we keep the right production schedule and ingredients on hand to meet demand
