The authority has now employed the services of treasury management consultants for a number of years in order to supplement the in-house function with the specialist market knowledge and expertise necessary to carry out timely and informed decision-making. Derby City Council have a wholly owned subsidiary called Derby Homes Ltd, and advice regarding the investment of their balances is to be included within the contract. The contract is estimated to commence 01/08/2021 and expire 31/07/2024, with options to extend the contract for 24 months in annual increments, subject to satisfactory performance and business needs. The maximum contract period is 60 months.
