The aim of this project is to appoint an Artist to design, have manufactured and install displays to decorate vacant shopfronts on the Gloucester high streets with vinyl artwork. The shop fronts are on the Eastgate, Westgate, Northgate, and Southgate streets (henceforth referred to as the ‘Gate’ streets). The aim is to ensure that the properties look more presentable, encourage visitors to view them and investors to lease the properties. There are currently twelve properties ready for installation. Once each installation is complete the window’s will be covered over with the intention of unveiling them simultaneously. The unveiling will be accompanied by media attention to make the moment an event with local, regional and even national media coverage.
