⑷ Basic requirements of the procurement :

A The system is to provide the university's information infrastructure promoting education and research activities. The entire system should consist of an education system, a research support system, a file server and a general-purpose computing server, a backbone network system, and an administration management system.

B The education system should contribute to all areas of education including information processing. It should support lecture courses, seminars and independent study, and consist of computers, networks, servers, user management systems, printers, backup devices peripherals and software.

C The file server and the research support system, which are used for both education and research, should possess peripherals for sub systems to process multimedia data. They should have sufficient functions and capability.

D The virtualization server must accommodate dozens of virtual servers that provide various services, have computing power and memory capacity that can efficiently execute service applications, and have high availability.

E The backbone network system should consist of networks to connect systems to the campus information network, network service systems, systems for network security measures, and backup devices. It should sufficiently support smooth communications and services, and should also have high system security level and countermeasure capabilities to guard against unauthorized access.

F The administration management system should have an integrated management capability, watching it to monitor record and report on the system's status, including its operation, utilization and errors. The system should also have an integrated and centralized user management capability.

G The system must support online learning and remote use.

H The entire system should be designed with efficiency, space and energy conservation in mind. It should also have high availability and disaster tolerance capabilities.

I The supplier should establish maintenance and support systems to ensure the entire system's stable operation and to provide prompt response against uncontrollable, system fault and failures.

J A smooth transition from the present system, including the management of current resource should be facilitated.
