In total, this project results in a supply and exhaust air volume of approx. 200,0003 / h each, which is circulated through 27 supply air, 39 exhaust air and 6 circulating air systems. The supply air systems consist of 10 full air conditioning, 8 partial air conditioning, 7 smoke extraction systems and 2 thrust fans.

KVS systems are used for heat recovery. A separate heat recovery ventilation device is provided for the operating theater systems. For the operating theater area, there are three redundant air conditioning units each for supply and exhaust air. The ventilation systems of the KMT, the IST, the INF and the IMC area are also implemented redundantly. TAV ceilings are installed in the operating theater and in the KMT rooms to ensure a low-turbulence displacement flow. The exhaust duct network of the bed washing system is made of stainless steel.
