the ministry intends to select suitably experienced and qualified companies alone or in joint venture with others holding licenses/relevant expertise for such activities to submit detailed proposal for design, build & operate engineered landfill at askar for the disposal of waste referred above, in the kingdom of bahrain. there will be no detail technical drawings or specifications provided by the ministry for the design of the landfill. this will be left to the bidder to design and construct d on their experience and the existing conditions at the proposed quarry site. permeability tests of the of the quarry will be the responsibility of the bidder in determining the type and quality of liner to be used. the scope of works will involve a site investigation, site preparation, lining of the site, installation of gas and leachate collection systems, operation and maintenance of the site and final restoration.
